During the recession in 2007-2008, I had not set deep roots. I honestly had no idea that what happened was even possible and it knocked me on my ass. I had been successful and grown year over year since I graduated from college and thought that, as long as I continued to work hard, that would always be the case. Not so. In the years since, I have worked very hard to create those deep roots. Are they as deep as I would like? No. Do I look back and see places where I could have grown deeper? Of course. But I learned and I grew from every experience since then and those roots are deeper now than ever. And they will continue to grow even deeper still. #deeproots #wendyswisdoms #lunchboxwisdoms
