Be Gentle

To say that the last month has been a little rough would be about accurate, but it has also be so great in so many ways. I have just “gone with it” every time something happens that makes it a little tougher. Ya know, like it raining from the ceiling inside my house in the very room that we just spent months remodeling. No biggie! Ugh!

I have kept the smile on my face, still got up every morning and kept going. But last night, I just couldn’t any more. I got home around 7pm, got immediately into my pajamas, had some yummy dinner and watched a movie. That may sound normal to you, but I do NOT watch movies! Ever! I can’t sit still that long.

But I was weary to my core and I knew it. It was time to be gentle with myself. To take a break. Take some rest time with absolutely no need for productivity. And you know what? I popped out of bed (well, off the couch we are currently sleeping on until the flood is repaired) feeling more rested than I have in weeks. A little bit of time for your body and mind to rest is so important. Listen to that! #downtime #lunchboxwisdoms #wendyswisdoms
