Most of us spend our entire lives hiding behind social norms and the expectations of others. They need to be understood by those in their circle. And when they aren’t, they return to conformity because that is easier.
It is devastatingly sad to watch someone you love struggle through that if you are one who has pushed outside of that bubble. And if you are still there, it seems absolutely insane that some people don’t care what others think of them.
